Call for papers: Non-Markov dynamics and non-local operators

Prazo para submissão: 31 December 2025 Guest editors: Bruno Toaldo (Università degli Studi di Torino, Italy) Giacomo Ascione (Scuola Superiore Meridionale, Italy) Overview: In recent decades the interplay between non-local operators and non-Markov processes has gained considerable popularity. Such a theory is motivated by numerous applications in the context of modelling anomalous phenomena, as, for instance, anomalous relaxations and diffusions. This theory involves several aspects of random processes that include, but are not limited to, semi-Markov processes, continuous-time random walks, (generalized) fractional Brownian motions, long-range dependent processes, and non-Gaussian measures. This topical collection welcomes submissions concerning recent developments on the aforementioned topics in a broad sense, including submissions related to a (class of) specific non-Markov process(es) or to a (class of) specific non-local operator(s) with potential applications in probability theory.
